Post Detail Care

Mobile Car Detailing - East Bay, Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda County, Orinda, Marin County

INTERIOR DETAIL:

Now that your vehicle’s interior is clean and fresh, please follow these instructions to avoid moisture, mildew, and condensation:

• Open windows as much as you feel comfortable leaving them to air out the interior of the vehicle. This will also push fresh air into the vehicle preventing condensation.

• Wait until fabric seats are completely dry before reinstalling child seats.

• Wait until carpets, floor mats and cargo liners (if applicable) are completely dry before installing floor mats and cargo liner.

Leather Seats:

• Leather seats are cleaned and conditioned to prevent future cracking, drying, and preserve the comfort of the seat.

• We recommend applying a leather conditioner at least once a month. A brand of choice used by Clean Green Mobile is Bayes Leather Cleaner and Conditioner or ZEP Leather Cleaner and Conditioner. (Follow instructions on the product if you plan on maintaining seats prior to your next interior detail.)

When should I schedule another Interior Detail?

We recommend an Interior Detail twice a year (every 6 months) to preserve the cleanliness and condition of your vehicle. If you use your vehicle lightly it’s ok to have an Interior Detail performed once a year. You can always pair your Interior Detail with an exterior wash, exterior wash and wax, or best an Exterior Detail to create a Full Detail service at a discounted rate.

EXTERIOR DETAIL (including wash, clay bar, standard wax):

The exterior of your vehicle is nice and shiny, rain will bead, people will be impressed by how shiny and smooth your vehicle is and you will have peace of mind knowing your vehicle is protected for harmful UV rays and oxidation.

To maintain the appearance of your vehicle we recommend washing your vehicle once a month (every 30 days) We offer the Mini Detail service which is perfect for maintaining your vehicle and bringing it back to its optimal condition.

We recommend an Exterior Detail twice a year (every 6 months) to preserve the clear coat and appearance of your vehicle. If you park your vehicle outside or you commute heavily you may need to do it twice a year. If you use your vehicle lightly and keep it in a garage you may need us to perform an Exterior Detail once a year. How protected is my vehicle after a wax application?

Wax is not the savior of clear coats – it can sustain damage and wear off when not maintained properly. If you see bird poop on your car wipe it off immediately with a warm moist towel (a soft towel is best to prevent scratches). Keep an eye out for tree sap and other things that may stick to your vehicle such as paint or asphalt as those can cause permanent damage to the exterior of your vehicle. If you do get paint or asphalt on your vehicle wash off immediately.

For future services you can always pair the Exterior Detail with Interior Detail to create a Full Detail, or upgrade the Exterior Detail by adding Polymer Sealant.

Exterior Detail with HYBRID CERAMIC SEALANT:

You opted for the best we offer to protect the exterior of your vehicle, GREAT JOB! We love your car as much as you do! You may have heard us going on about how great Ceramic Sealant is and the benefits it offers so now we also want to advise you on how to maintain your vehicle after the service has been performed:

Polymer sealant paint protection for cars

No rinsing for 24 hours!

After the service is complete you need to let the polymer bond to your vehicle’s clear coat. Do not rinse your vehicle for 24 hours, this is the time needed to allow the polymer to properly bond to your vehicle. We also applied what is known in the industry as a “wax blanket” this layer of wax is sitting on top of the Polymer and will prolong the life of the Polymer Sealant.

How do I maintain my vehicle after a Hybrid Ceramic Sealant service?

Great question! We recommend the Mini Detail to maintain your vehicle on a monthly basis or call us every 3 months so we can bring your vehicle back to its optimal condition. A Mini Detail with wax is recommended every 6 months and this will also allow us to make future recommendations on services your vehicle may need. Polymers do wear off with exposure to sun, rain, and the environment so we recommend having the Exterior Detail with Hybrid Ceramic Sealant applied once a year.

How protected is my vehicle after a Hybrid Ceramic Sealant treatment?

Hybrid Ceramic Sealant is strong but it’s also a bit vulnerable. If you see bird poop on your car wipe it off immediately with a warm moist towel (a soft towel is best to prevent scratches). Keep an eye out for tree sap and other things that may stick to your vehicle such as paint or asphalt as those can cause permanent damage to the exterior of your vehicle. If you do get tree sap, paint or asphalt on your vehicle wash off immediately.

For future services you can always pair the Exterior Detail with Hybrid Ceramic Sealant with an Interior Detail, to create a Full Detail for a discounted price.
